Competition for customers is tougher than ever this year and the nation’s big wireless carriers pulled out the stops, and their wallets, to the tune of $23 – 40 million per campaign, for some creative commercials touting their holiday deals.
The November data from iSpot reveals that even as carriers are slashing their prices to woo and entice customers to switch, they are spending more than ever on television ad placements: $189 million in November compared with $169 in September.
The AT&T and Verizon jousting saw both carriers cutting back on their September push while Sprint, T-Mobile and Cricket upped the ante.
